"PASO is a new free website aimed at helping Pre-PA students find a Physician Assistant to shadow. This website was developed in 2011 by a Neurosurgical PA who had been using an online calendar to schedule all of his shadowing students. It worked so well, he designed a site so everyone in the country could benefit from the same service. The site is absolutely free for both PAs and students to use and there are new PAs signing up every day. Iif you have ever wanted to mentor a student, it is a rewarding experience for which there are no words when you see that student you helped get into a program. Try and remember when you were pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant and the difficulties in finding someone to shadow and give you a firsthand look at this ever growing field. And as PAs, we are always about giving back. Last, you can claim category II CME Credit for every hour you have a student shadow you"
